Manure is an organic matter formed from animal (including poultry) droppings, litter (e.g. straw), water, and fallen feed particles and is widely used as a fertilizer.
When properly handled, it contains relatively high levels of nutrients and nutrient salts essential for plants, such as nitrogen and potassium compounds.
Manure is also rich in micro-organisms that activate soil processes.
